What games are we all hoping to receive this xmas? I'm gonna get fuck all as my mrs says "I'm not getting you another game for xmas", even after I pointed out the last game she bought me was Tony Hawks 3 on PS2 in 2001

I'd quite like to get Assassin's Creed II, because the first game I really enjoyed. Still unsure about MW2, maybe if it drops in price and I get bored.

I'm still addicted to CS:S, COD4 and KZ2 though so I don't know how I'll fit it all in :S

I think I will probably be getting Fallout 3 game of the year Edition but thats it really! Just enjoying CSS at the moment when my connection is actually being decent!

If I can get a job soonish might buy either a Xbox360 or a PS3 havent quite decided yet!

yes kevin you wuld say that, well i actully got to play my xbox last night for the first ime in ages (reason being my brother nicked it) so i got on the good old gta and ran some people over for half hour.. good times

Xbox is great at games, no question. But PS3 is great at games, MP3s, Blurays, iPlayer, recording live TV, internet browsing, free PSN...you don't pay like xbox live..., DVD upscaling.

If it was for a bedroom then xbox is fine, but ps3 is more of a lounge thing

more exclusives on xbox - i.e better games, and thats what you want when you buy a games console really, and you get what you pay for cos xbl is infinitely better than psn

What exclusives does the box have (apart from Halo obviously)? I've never really looked into it. I tend to wait until something good shows up on PS and just wait for it. I'm never one to read the "coming soon" gumph.

Halo, ODST, Reach; Dead rising; Fable, GTA episodes; Gears; Left 4 dead; mass effect; bioshock was of course for a time, and quake to name but a few plus there's hundreds of classics in arcade like STREETS OF RAGE, now thats a fuckin classic!

The only ps3 exclusive i'd consider is uncharted, but it doesn't look anything special really, granted the graphics are very pretty but that doesn't make for a good game, oh and maybe buzz, but thats a bit stupid anyway, i'm confident a better general knowledge quiz game is being made for 360

You're missing out. Those are all great games (some of them even on PC too). But PS3 also has Killzone, LBP, Motorstorm, Uncharted, Final Fantasy.

There's lots of old PS1 games for download, plus new arcade style games on PSN....and the megadrive pack was pretty good too. I'm a bit annoyed that they got rid of Tetris for download at £3 too. It's just disappeared from PSN!

Surely God of war and Metal Gear solid deserve mentions ! I was thinking about getting a PS3 but tbh none of my friends have a ps3 and alot have 360's so its pretty much a no brainer regardless of games and exclusives

Well you are welcome to come and play me and Sy on Killzone, Borderlands, etc. I ended up using mine more as a TV entertainment system. I don't have a stereo/PC/DVD player in the lounge any more, just a PS3.

yeah you're right killzone looked ok too... motorstorm is probably ok if you like racing games (i don't) there are several racing games exclusive to xbox as well (PGR), though i can't vouch for how good any of them are, i'd prefer to jump in my car and actually go driving.

also final fantasy and mgs, are both on xbox also, i was mentioning ps exclusives that i'd consider - 2 of the only games/series that were truly great on the PS are now on xbox as well
