hi all my logitech G5 is giving up the ghost and keeps cutting out on power, did fix it for a while but its annoying during games it jus cuts out and u have to shake it to make it work again !gggrrrrr, in its hey day its been the best mouse ive ever used and wondered what u guys thought i could replace it with ?? i am thinkng of just buying another G5 but if anything its gone up in price instead of down so if im gonna splash £45 out agian maybe its time for a change ?

Baboon, just fix the mouse with a soldering iron. Done it on both of mine G5's. Works like a charm now
Just cut the wire where the wire is going in to the mouse ( The 90 degree corner ). And reconnect the wire and Play on!

yeah ive looked at trying to take the mouse apart but can only find one screw and it doesnt seem to split in half ?

You need to remove the ''gliders''

Yeah, they wil stick back on, but try to get them of without bending them to much.

You know the best way to deal with ball mice that are sticking?

Remove the balls and boil them!

Cleans them up better than anything else. Not that anyone uses ball mice any more though
